Pruning:

Trees and shrubs should be pruned at the correct time. Failure to prune at the correct time of year can lead to sap bleeding and diseases such as coral spot. Dead, diseased or damaged parts should be cut away to avoid healthy parts of a tree becoming infected. Crossing branches should be removed to avoid damage from rubbing. We should aim to allow light and air into the plant to keep it healthy. We should use secateurs to cut away small branches. Branches with a diameter of more than 2cm should be removed with a pruning saw.

Pruning trees and shrubs at the right time prevents sap bleeding and diseases like coral spot. Remove dead or damaged wood to promote healthy growth. Tools like secateurs and pruning saws ensure precision. Use Black Screen, an online tool, to plan pruning tasks with clarity and reduced screen glare.
